Aaditi Dubale

Hometown: Chicago, Illinois

Placement: South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT)

Aaditi Dubale is the Development Fellow at South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT), where she also coordinates Be the Change 2009, SAALT’s National Day of Service. Prior to joining SAALT, Aaditi was an electoral organizing fellow for the New Americans Democracy Project through the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, where she developed a non-partisan voter mobilization campaign that registered over 870 immigrant and minority voters in the southern suburbs of Chicago.

Aaditi graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in Sociology and Spanish. During college, she was involved with the student-run campaign to establish an Asian American Studies Program at her campus. She also coordinated the first student-organized event specific to the experiences of queer people of color, and participated as a cast member for UIC’s production of The Vagina Monologues, which supports Chicago-area women’s empowerment programs and organizations.
